At the “Language Teaching Methods” conference (30 October 2024), teachers listened to presentations by lecturers and shared their experiences in language teaching and methods. The aim of the conference was to stimulate discussions on the future of formal and non-formal language teaching, as well as to promote cooperation and better understanding between the Latvian and Lithuanian communities. A wide range of topics were explored, including the unique aspects of language education in Latvia and Lithuania, achievements in the field, experiences, and school leadership in phasing out Russian language teaching. Teachers discussed language teaching methodologies, active and inclusive learning, non-formal language teaching, promoting citizenship and creativity competences through language teaching.
